Why You Should Never Skip Leg Day

Any building is only as strong as its ‘foundation.’ And when it comes to that magnificent torso you’ve been building over the years – the same goes for you too. We can’t believe a post like this is even necessary with photos like the above circulating around. But just in case it isn’t, we have six more reasons why a man should never skip leg day.

1. Working the Legs Builds Mass ALL OVER-

A good leg workout is not just for your legs. It also works your shoulders, core, and a lot of other important stuff. And your legs are also the largest muscles in your body. And the larger the muscle, the more growth hormone and testosterone that is released during the workout. And this is the stuff that makes you grow (all over).

2. Your Overall Performance Will Lack

Looking the part and acting it are two different things when it comes to owning a fit body. Strong legs aids a man during running, jumping, hiking, biking, and a lot of other ‘body-centric’ skills like throwing a ball, swinging a club/bat, or even turning a jet ski with masculine pizzaz.

A strong lower foundation can also keep you from getting injured while playing or taking part any sport.

3. Your Numbers Will Never be Impressive

Yes, you may bench press 400 pounds, but how much can you squat or deadlift? Probably not much using that set of sticks you’ve never earned (a.k.a. chicken legs).

They don’t call the bench press, squat, and deadlift the big three for nothing. These are the power movements that demonstrate a man’s full potential for powerful performance and endurance.

4. Your Belly Fat Will Be Harder to Burn Off

If you think that cardio is going to burn the most fat in your workout… you are wrong. It is the biggest muscles in your body that are going to burn the most calories and continue to burn off excess fat throughout the day. So, yeah you can do cardio, but if you’re really serious about getting ripped – never skip leg day!

6. And never think that you can cover the neglect to your legs with a pair of really busy shorts – because you just can’t.
