These are selvage denim, all handmade in San Francisco by a company called Gustin, which is a start-up who prides themselves with making luxury jeans at an affordable price. How luxury? Your $81 will get you all the detail you’d expect from a name brand, including selvage side seams, chain-stitched waistbands, leather patches, and a tucked belt loop. Each pair is controlled for quality and finished, including its overall shape and hardware.
So what’s the catch? You’ve got to order it wholesale straight from the company. They have broken the chain of command, bypassing the retail store, in order to bring you these $200 jeans for only $81.
