Google Chrome Pixel, We’ll Wait for the Sale

We love the original Google Chromebook. In fact, we would dare say you couldn’t find a better deal out there for a laptop. At just $250 (fully clouded) it can accomplish just about everything you need, and then some.

When we heard that Google had decided to come out with something even better, the Google Chromebook Pixel, we couldn’t wait to see the result. Well, the results are in, and in our opinion, all that is different is around $1,100 less in your wallet, and a screen that can follow your finger.

Now we’re going to step down off our soapbox, and give you some of the cold hard specifications. The Pixel has a touchscreen (yes, I believe we mentioned that), a 3.3 lb aluminum frame, and boasts a 2560 x 1700 resolution (beautiful). It has an i5 processor, 32 or 64GB solid state drive, and runs on Chrome OS (obviously).

According to reviews, not too many experts are giving it a thumbs up, so we can only imagine these will be going on sale not too long after dropping on the market. At that point, we’ll pick one up, install Linux, and then we might even change our mind and call it a decent value (we’ll let you know). But it here.
