The Ultimate Gentleman’s Pad – Antilia

Antilia

We’ve featured a lot of ‘awesome‘ and ‘classy‘ gentleman’s pads in the past. However, Antilia (named after a mystical island in the Atlantic Ocean) is supposed to be the ‘ultimate’. Let’s tally up its awesomeness and see if it’s worthy of this title.

While Antilia is technically a 27-floor building, due to its extended ceilings it is actually more like a 570-foot 40-floor building. Its total square feet is somewhere around 400,000, and it employs a permanent staff of 600 just to maintain it. Despite its mass, its owner only uses the top couple floors as living quarters. The rest is just for shi** and giggles.

Antilia comes with a multi-storage garage that can fit up to 168 cars. It requires nine elevators to maintain a steady flow of its staff up and down its glass walls, and it has three helipads on the roof to offer an extended getaway plan. This gentleman’s pad features some standard luxuries you’d find in any Hollywood mansion, including its own gym, dance studio, pool, ballroom, and 50-seat movie theater.

It is not exactly a summer house in Mumbai, India for the business tycoon, Mukesh Ambani, who lives here. It is more of a personal residence, and by that I mean it is his only residence. However, he did spend upwards of $1 billion on it, so he might as well enjoy it.
