Did you know Old Spice teamed up with Tough Mudder as the official Men’s Body Wash and Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant Partner of their rigorous obstacle course series?  It seems like a logical move.  When Old Spice reached out to see if Urbasm would test just how hardworking it is, we had to give it a try.

Tough Mudder is a grueling competition, but if there is one true test for deodorant, it’s a half hour walk in Miami in eighty-degree weather.  Nobody. . . I mean nobody. . . looks good walking in Miami, which is why Uber is now considered local infrastructure.  Let me take you through my journey:

12:30pm
I am freshly showered, with Old Spice Lasting Legend (from the Hardest Working collection) applied, walking out of my apartment building.

12:32pm
People give me weird looks as I walk down the boardwalk smelling my armpits.

12:35pm
The smell of the deodorant is acting up, probably because sweat glands have similarly kicked into gear.

12:42pm
I stop to pet a puppy.  It does not seem offended by my odor.

12:45pm
Halfway there and still dry.  I up my power walking game to truly put Old Spice to the test.

12:55pm
Sweat on my brow.

1:00pm
A little moist under the armpits, but I’m still smelling really fresh.  This is a pretty brutal test for any deodorant (if you don’t think it is, power walk through Wynwood on a cloudless day for a half hour and get back to me), and I’m happy to say Old Spice lived up to its hardest working moniker.
