Cadillac V-Series Vs. BMW Vs. Quattro Vs. AMG – The Battle Begins

What battle? Well, all you need to do is look at some of the evidence.

President, Johan de Nysschen, plans on launching a minimum of eight new Cadillac V-Series models per decade, which rounds out to about one per year. The V-Series Cadillac will be dumping their large displacements in favor of technology. In other words, we can look forward to lighter weight, better handling, turbo/superchargers—and a few electronic models mixed thrown in here and there for good (green) measure.

And we’re not talking “Prius” electric either, but rather something closer to the philosophy of McLaren, who believe in neck-snapping performance while also saving the world (a little at a time). There is even a talk that Cadillac might be considering one of the new electric turbo systems that have been in the rumor mill.

All we know is… BMW, Audi and AMG have some pretty fantastic performance oriented automobiles with a strong following of enthusiasts… and Cadillac would love to get in on a piece of that action. And we think they can do it, starting with the rumored performance version of the CT6. Heck, it’s already on our X-mas lists.
