Alexis DeJoria’s Custom-built 1949 Mercury “Lead Sled”

Alexis has been dubbed the hottest woman in the NHRA circuit, and she has not achieved this ranking toting around in a Toyota Prius (no offense to any of you owners). As a professional driver, Alexis routinely sees 300 mph in her 8,000 horsepower, nitro funny car.

Off the track, she takes a slightly more pragmatic approach to getting from A to B with a Barrett-Jackson quality, 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. She purchased the car when she was 17-years-old. The car features a custom-built 504 cubic-inch big-block, which produces 650 horsepower.

Also in her collection, is a 1949 Mercury convertible she has formally named the “Lead Sled.” It has been lowered, chopped, fitted with a white Carson top, and features a houndstooth “tuck & roll” interior, topped by a satin-black paint job. I guess some girls played with Barbie, while others just repeatedly ran her over with Ken’s blue hot rod.
