What makes a classic watch truly unique, is finding ways to make the impossible a possibility. The craftsman must also accomplish the task with the care and direction of a Renaissance artist. Take this Automotive Flying Tourbillion from Ralph Lauren for instance.

What you are seeing is a very expensive illusion (about $80,000). The cage of the tourbillion has been cantilevered to suggest it is ‘flying,’ when in actually it is very well supported below. It also features automatic wind via an elegant gold-plated micro rotor, which can be admired through the clear sapphire case on the back side.

The Flying Tourbillion comes with a 44.8 mm case, 11.2 mm thickness, and gorgeous elm burlwood on the top layer of the face. Tan Superluminova keeps it viewable under any light conditions, and you can find more information about it here.
